Riding Lessons

Learning to ride a horse begins with ground training.  At Meadowlake Ranch you will learn verbal and non-verbal communication with your horse, how and when to approach your horse safely and what to do when you get there.

You will also learn to develop a bond based on trust and understanding.  We will show you how to gain your horses respect and trust for maximum safety on an open trail.

Our goal is to keep you and your horse in constant communication with one another.  At the end of your very first lesson you will have learned the basic body language your horse uses to communicate with you and your horse will have learned what you expect from him.

When you trust your horse and your horse trusts you, riding can be a safe and enjoyable experience for you, your horse and other riders on the trail with you.

NOTE:  For safety reasons we have minimum size, age and physical requirements in order to take lessons and trail ride.  Trail riding is reserved for experienced riders only.  If you’d like to improve your riding skills ask about our group and private riding classes.
